(Medical update removed, but good news – see the actual email.)

Our youth SCTP team , the East Tennessee Straight Shooters just finished the 2019 regional tournaments this past weekend. They did very well and have a lot of awards and trophys for their efforts.  We have several first year shooters on the team , some of them were competing against kids from other clubs that have been shooting for several years and they still won some 1st 2nd and 3 rd place high gun awards. We had Team and squad trophies , they really represented Cherokee very well. The team will be at the meeting on Thursday evening with their trophies , if you can attend the meeting you will be impressed with this group of young Men and Women. We want to thank Cherokee for all of their support with our youth teams.

Tuesday 6/4 Open Practice on the hill. We will have the ranges open by 4:30p and will shoot till everyones had enough. Trap and Skeet

Thursday 6/6 Cherokee Rod and Gun monthly meeting. Meeting starts at 7p most folks show up by 6:30 . There is a meal available.

Friday 6/7 Arts Old Codgers will be on the hill by 9a . If you would like to shoot with them you will be more than welcome. They shoot till around noon.

Saturday 6/8 Wilderness Road will host the trophy shoot. Sign ups are from 9-11a . There is a meal provided.

Sunday 6/9 Five stand.  Bobby Marshall and Rodney Meade have put in many hours on updating our five stand. They have this thing working well and will be ready for shooters by noon on Sunday. If your not familiar with five stand , its basically a practice range for sporting clays which is the fastest growing clay target sport in North America. It gives you shots that are more like hunting would be , with rabbits , teal, overhead pass shots like dove. It can be very challenging but its a lot of fun. Bring lots of shells and get on a squad.

Hope to see everyone around the range ld
