From Larry Dark: Howdy
An update to the below post:
On the sporting clays trip we were taking tomorrow. I am going to try to reschedule for some time down the road …maybe we can get a weekend so more folks will be able to come larry
I hope Santa was good to you even though most were on the Naughty list. We are coming into a new year of shotgunning at Cherokee. There has been a lot of changes this past year (all for the better) we still have a lot to do in the new year. Our little club is growing and we have many new faces in our membership over the past year. I hope you all have been made to feel welcome.
Following is not a Cherokee function. I have been itching to shoot some sporting clays. I have had a few folks say they would like to go. We had talked about going Saturday, I have been watching the weather and now Crossville is showing 40% chance of mixed precipitation for Saturday .
If anyone is interested in taking a road trip for some holiday sporting clays shooting on Wednesday 1/1, let me know. The plan was to go to Crossville Shooting Park in Crossville Tn. Its a new facility with two sporting clays courses. Travel time is a little less than 3 hrs. Cost is 40.00 per 100 and 20.00 for a 4 man golf cart. We would need to leave Meadowview by 7am to be there at 10a when they open. We should be able to get in 2 rounds. I will be at Cherokee on Tuesday evening or my cell is 423.202.1257. If you are interested let me know and if we have a few wanting to go down it should be a lot of fun. If this is a bad day we can look at rescheduling. Larry Dark
