Membership Information

Cherokee Rod & Gun Club meets on the first Thursday night of each month at 7:00 PM at the Clubhouse on Reservoir Road (except major holidays, in which case the meeting will be held on the following Thursday). We always feed the membership and have the regular business meeting after the meal. Various entertaining programs are presented at some meetings. A good meal is served at each meeting.
Throughout the year, the general membership base fluctuates but on average it stays about 850. All memberships in Cherokee Rod & Gun Club are Family memberships and are $75 per year plus four hours of service on one of the many committees. This gives the member and the member's family access to the free use of the rifle, pistol, archery ranges and the pond. Trap and skeet may be shot using Club targets and equipment for a small charge. Shooting of any firearm before 12:00 noon and after 5:00 PM on Sundays is not permitted.
Normal range hours for rifle & pistol are from daylight to dark, Monday through Saturday. Trap & skeet range hours are from daylight to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
The office is open on meeting days from 1pm until 6:30pm.

Membership Application PDF (requires Adobe)
Due to the new membership software, each person that is renewing should fill out an application to help the committee enter the proper data into the computer. The applications are available at the office or you may download the application by clicking on Membership Application PDF (requires Adobe). Membership fees must accompany all applications. You may bring your application to the office during office hours, to the monthly meetings or mail it to the club address on the application. All new memberships must be voted on by the membership in attendance at a monthly meeting before acceptance. After a membership is accepted, a safety walk-through is mandatory before your membership card/gatekey will be issued. If you would like to join and have questions, or if you have membership problems please contact Ami or Ramona Fletcher at rgfletcher@chartertn.net or 423-357-5470.
